Many of you have been hanging out to find out what’s on when in 2015 so here it is. We start the year with criterium events held out at Glenvale with a new time of 6am rego for 6:30am racing beginning Saturday 10th January, A & B grades will be off first and C/D/Juniors to follow.
The Toowoomba Two Day is scheduled for the end of January and Toowoomba Cycling Club would love the support of local riders entering their Open event. First club road race for 2015 will be 12th April following the Easter long weekend. Following on from the success of Tour de Moey earlier in 2014 the event returns in 2015 under a new moniker, “Wild West Tour”. New in 2015 will be several Cyclocross races so look out for more info on them as details are confirmed.
Subject to council approval we hope to run an Individual Time Trial on 27th June using Blanchview Rd as a course, while it is testing ride with some training most riders will be able to make it to the finish.
A mix of road races, CX and then criteriums round out the year, and of course the Twilight Series returns with round 1 taking place on Saturday 14th Nov then Friday evenings thereafter.
While feedback is always welcome please understand that we are trying to accommodate the majority of club cyclists and hope that the calendar reflects the diversity of road cycling disciplines, attempting to align events in order to help training and preparation for Open events.
