Sixteen riders fronted for what can only be described as the toughest race on the local calendar. Conditions were warm with a southerly breeze creating a headwind for the riders on the open part of the course. The course is only 9.6km long but features a lot of short sharp bumps finishing with the long drag at between 18 and 22%.
