A small roll-up of 23 riders on the day. Great weather greeted those who ventured to Goombungee. The course was well prepared with the Qld junior road championships on the course the day before.
D grade had 4 riders tackling 2 laps of the course. Phil Leydon picked up the win on the day. Peter Moautt was 2nd and Phil Dummett 3rd.
10 riders lined up in C Grade. It was easily won by Adam Grams with Steve Randall riding strongly to pick up 2nd and Dominic Churchett in his first race picking up 3rd. Well done Dominic. Adam B grade beckons!!
With only 2 in B grade, they lined up at the start with the A graders for the 3 laps. After 2 laps they raced there own race with Scott Mazzanti coming home first.
In A grade 7 quality riders lined up with a solid pace being set from the start. All were together at the end of the 2nd lap. Peter Collins showed why he is mixing with the best in the state road series for the TLD team at the moment coming home with a convincing win. Seb Scott also put distance into the rest of the pack. Malcolm Krahenbring won the bunch sprint for third.
